Tracy Capstick, CPA, CA, LPA

Tracy graduated from McMaster University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hon.B.Com) and obtained her CA designation in 1994.  Shortly following her graduation, she joined KPMG LLP where she developed and implemented tailored audit strategies for clients in various industries, including manufacturing, not-for-profits, education and the public sector.  She subsequently worked as a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Business Advisory Group assisting large financial institutions with process improvement and control implementation.   

At Capstick McCollum & Associates, Tracy applies her many years of public accounting and business advisory experience to assist small to medium size businesses and not-for-profit organizations with their accounting, financial and taxation needs.  Tracy also services individuals and estates in complying with annual reporting requirements along with tax, estate and succession planning.  

Tracy is currently the Membership Committee Chair for the Estate Planners’ Council of Halton and the Treasurer for Camaraderie of Hope.  She served as Treasurer and Chair on the Alexander’s Public School Council.  She also served as Vice-Chair and Chair of Halton Women’s Place.

Tracy is a member of the Small and Medium Practices Advisory Committee of CPA Ontario.  She also worked with a team of CPAs to review and update the Professional Engagement Guide (PEG), a resource guide offered by CPA Ontario to practitioners performing assurance and compilation engagements on small and medium-sized entities.
